Operations - Production cycle

At FPT - Fonderia Pressofusione Tapparo, we design industrial components for various sectors.

Component design follows a well-tested method that starts with the following:

Order management: Dedicated personnel ensure the timely progression of the work phases and on-time delivery.
Design: You provide technical drawings of the product you would like to make. We coordinate the entire design and industrialisation process by collaborating with you and the mould maker to define the final mould and the castable geometry of the product, making it as economical as possible in compliance with your specifications.
Choice of raw materials: You have full freedom to choose the materials according to your needs. FPT provides advice and performs systematic checks regarding the chemical composition of the alloys used.
Testing and development of the mould: Before starting production, a pre-run sample is made, accompanied by the approval documents, which are submitted to you for approval.

After the first phase of component design, our highly specialised FPT team proceeds with:

Traceability: The project data are marked with a number and a unique code to ensure the availability of lots of raw material and die-cast products so that the phases of the product's manufacture can be easily reconstructed, including testing, at any time.
Die-casting: After the raw material is melted, the production cycles are automated or performed manually according to the instance. The injection arms are also removed or trimmed.
Mechanical processing: Both simple and high-precision machining is performed using modern machinery.

Following the die-casting phase, our team is responsible for:

Aesthetic finishes: we perform every type of finishing, including the most requested: tumbling, sandblasting, brightening, anode oxidation, satin finishing, brushing, painting, chrome plating.
Assembly and testing: we have special air-conditioned rooms dedicated to dimensional and non-destructive tests made with modern equipment for radioscopic control.
Packaging and shipping: Your logistical needs are taken into consideration. Each package has a personalised identification tag made with proprietary software that bears the image of the piece and a barcode that interfaces with your organisation. Shipping always occurs within the agreed delivery times.
